2025 in Review: From Hardware to Ecosystem

2025 was a year of transformation for GENERAL BYTES. As the crypto-kiosk market professionalizes toward a $1.3 billion value by 2032, we have evolved beyond manufacturing. We are now the architects of the infrastructure that helps operators thrive in a regulated, digital-first world.

1. The Birth of BATM7: The Future is Cashless

We introduced the BATM7 – our first purely cashless Bitcoin ATM. This was a direct response to a clear marketdemand: reducing operational overhead. By removing cash handling, we enabled operators to eliminate costs related to cash pickups, logistics, and physical maintenance. The BATM7 offers a lower entry price and a minimalist design, opening doors to locations where traditional cash-based ATMs were previously not economically viable.

2. MiCA & Travel Rule: Making Compliance the Standard

Regulations like MiCA and the Travel Rule (TFR) became a reality for European operators. GENERAL BYTES delivered a fully compliant solution, empowering our clients to successfully secure their MiCA licenses.

  • Travel Rule Ready: We completed seamless integrations with industry leaders such as Notabene, GTR, and SumSub.
  • DORA Compliance: Our systems meet strict Digital Operational Resilience Act requirements, making GB the most secure choice for institutional operators.

3. Speed and Efficiency: Liquid Network Integration

We added support for the Liquid Bitcoin Network, providing end-customers with lightning-fast, cost-effective transfers for BTC and stablecoins (including USDT). The Liquid Network adds a crucial layer to our ecosystem, essential for modern crypto-businesses.

4. Pioneering Security: Revolutionary Scam Protection

We introduced a revolutionary temporary AML tier designed to protect first-time Bitcoin ATM users. This system monitors initial transactions to prevent online scams and automatically transitions customers to higher tiers once their security is verified. We protect not only the users but also the reputation of our operators.

5. Salesforce: Speed in Our DNA

To accelerate our response times and improve customer experience, we migrated from Jira to Salesforce. For our customers, this means full automation of orders, quotes, and invoicing. We now process orders with significantly higher speed, allowing you to focus on your business rather than paperwork.

6. Expanded Field Services and Support

Beyond industry-leading hardware, we strengthened our service portfolio in 2025. We now offer comprehensive training, remote server upgrades, professional installations, and dedicated field services to ensure your network stays up and running.

What’s ahead in 2026? Our vision remains clear: to solidify our position as the global leader through stability, innovation, and uncompromising professionalism. With 10 years of history and over 15,000 installations, we continue to build the tracks for your financial freedom in 2026.
